12 Garden Design is a Buckinghamshire based garden design studio working with clients around the Chiltern Hills & Buckinghamshire.
Kathryn Hibberd’s award-winning gardens reflect her philosophy that with good design gardens can be used and enjoyed for 12 months of the year.
Kathryn’s ethos is to create unique and timeless gardens using traditional or contemporary styles to merge surroundings, house and lifestyle. The spirit of her gardens is achieved through establishing a genuine understanding of the clients requirements and combining this with a practical but creative approach to design.
The Design Process
Free Consultation
The first meeting is a free consultation to discuss the transformation of your garden. During this visit Kathryn will be able to assess your garden and give an outline of design fees and time scales.
Site Survey
This entails collecting specific information including detailed measurements and soil analysis enabling the design work to begin.
Review
The drawing will show the general layout, hard landscaping, key features and planting areas. Samples of hard landscaping materials can be provided and suggestions for features, lighting and furniture can be discussed.
Presentation
A hand drawn scaled drawing that you can use to obtain quotes/ estimates from landscapers. A list of landscapers can be recommended.
Planting Plans & Services
Once the garden design is finalised, planting plans can be prepared. These are a vital part of the design and take in to consideration the aspect of the garden, year round colour, interest, texture and form.
Working to an agreed budget Kathryn’s planting service ensures that your finished garden looks as intended, using high quality plants hand selected from local nurseries.
As part of the Planting Service a complimentary maintenance visit is also included within the first 6 months.
